When you’re looking for a purpose built tool watch, look no further. This Seatime is a diving watch all the way. The bold hands, matte black dial and rotating inner bezel make this a stunning piece. The inner bezel is operates with the same crown used for winding and setting the watch, which is rather unique. The heavy steel case has a typical 70’s design. Inside the case beats the AS2066 movement, with signed Aquastar rotor.
The watch is in good condition and fully original. The case is unpolished and therefore shows some signs of wear like little scratches. The top right lug is dented (see pictures). The crown is original. The dial is in very good condition. The inner bezel rotates in both directions. The hands are original and in good condition. The strap is a vintage divers strap and shows some small cracks, so it might need replacing in the future. The movement is in very good condition, operates smoothly and runs accurate within 20-30 seconds a day. The movement has been fully serviced and the watch comes with a 1 year warranty.
Aquastar was a small manufacture in Geneva, founded in 1962. The brand was founded as a sub-brand of JeanRichard, but due to the succes of the Aquastar models, Aquastar became a separate brand. Aquastar was specialized in watches for diving and other aquatic activities. Their distribution went mainly through diving stores and therefor Aquastar remained relatively unknown among the large public.
